Susan Whitley Art + Craft Fair.
The Susan
Whitley Art and Craft Fair is an annual event held in memory of Susan Whitley
who was the Art and Craft teacher killed during the 1982 war.
The Susan
Whitley Trust provides prizes for winning entries. The Fair, run in conjunction
with Farmers’ Week, is held on the weekend in July at the beginning of Farmers
Week.
The Community
School have a display in the “street” and Camp Education and the Infant/Junior
School have their display in the Infant/Junior School.
The second prizewinner for Key Stage 1 made a house from clay bricks as part of an Art Unit on houses. This house was modelled on the Three Little Pig
Key Stage 1 prizewinner pictured below. This is a mural of the old disused Malo bridge, with a sketch and a photo of the original bridge.
